Treatments

Technically I don’t treat disease but more so the internal patterns that cause imbalances and manifest in disease. This is the difference between treating a symptom, and treating the cause of the symptom, and is the very core of Chinese medicine. In the initial intake session I will ask many questions to gain a better understanding of the patient experience and on a deeper level I’m gaining an understanding of the intricate relationships between organ functions, fluids and the energetic of yin and yang. With this information, I arrive at a diagnoses of patterns we call syndromes and this leads me to a treatment principle and a treatment plan.

I use acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, moxabustion, Chinese herbal medicine, Scenar stimulation or craniosacral therapy to create a potential for healing. Based on the patient’s constitution and symptoms the treatment plan is individual for every patient.

Since Chinese medicine not only treats disease but also promotes the maintenance of health, I see many patients on a regular basis to keep the body in homeostasis and healthy.
